In Astana, the chairman of the Baytaq Party, Azamatkhan Amirtayev, met with international OSCE observers who arrived in Kazakhstan to monitor the elections to the Kurultai. The briefing was attended by about 100 parliamentarians and staff members of the parliamentary administrations of OSCE member states.
During the meeting, they discussed the transparency of the electoral process, the role of international observation, and the progress of the Green Party's election campaign.
Azamatkhan Amirtayev noted that international observation contributes to an objective assessment of elections, strengthens trust in the electoral process, and supports the development of democratic institutions.
He also spoke about the progress of Baytaq's election campaign. The party list has been registered in accordance with the established legal procedure, and campaigning is being carried out in compliance with the law. As part of the campaign, four rounds of televised debates, podcasts, and informational and outreach events were held in the regions. The party's environmental campaign caravan also visited several regions of the country.
The international observers were presented with the main provisions of the party's election program. Its strategic goal is the formation of an environmentally safe, economically competitive, and socially responsible Kazakhstan.
At the end, the sides exchanged views and emphasized the importance of an open and lawful electoral process. Azamatkhan Amirtayev thanked the observers for their work and expressed the party's readiness for constructive dialogue with all election participants.
