Nationality — Kazakh, education — higher education, Akmola Agricultural Institute. B. Kerey began his career in 1993 as a specialist at the Bayanaul District Committee for Land Relations and Land Management of Pavlodar Region. From 1997 to 1999, he worked as Head of the Land Inspection for Bayanaul District of Pavlodar Region. From 1999 to 2003, he worked in the field of environmental protection as a State Environmental Inspector for Bayanaul District of the Pavlodar Regional Department of Environmental Protection of the Ministry of Environmental Protection of the Republic of Kazakhstan. From April 2003 to June 2004, he worked as Deputy Akim of the Bayanaul Rural District of Pavlodar Region. From June 16, 2004 to August 6, 2014, he worked in the ministries of environmental protection of the Republic of Kazakhstan and environmental and water resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In the ministries, he started as a specialist and rose to the position of department director. He has significant experience in the field of state environmental control. From October 1, 2014 to February 28, 2017, he worked as Director of the Department of Green Economy of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan. From March 1, he worked as Deputy Director of the Department of International Cooperation and Economic Integration Processes of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and from August 5, 2019 to July 19, 2022, he worked as Deputy Director of the Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan. From August 1, 2022 to October 10, 2023, he worked as Chief Manager of the Investment Department of JSC "NC "Kazgeology". During his career, B. Kerey has established himself as a principled, proactive, and competent specialist with strong analytical abilities. With his active participation, a number of strategic documents of the ministries were developed, such as the Environmental Safety Concept for 2004–2015, sectoral environmental protection programs for 2005–2010 and for combating desertification of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2005–2007, strategic and operational plans of the ministries, the sectoral program "Zhasyl Damu" for 2010–2014, the Concept for the Transition of the Republic of Kazakhstan to a Green Economy and the Action Plan for its implementation for 2013–2020, and the Law "On Amendments and Additions to Some Legislative Acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Issues of the Transition of the Republic of Kazakhstan to a Green Economy". Since August 1, 2023, he has been working for the Kazakhstan Green Party "Baytaq" and currently holds the position of Head of the Central Office of the aforementioned party.
