Today, a meeting with representatives of the environmental community was held at the central office of the Kazakhstan Green Party Baytaq in Astana. The event became one of the final stages of the party’s nationwide awareness campaign ahead of the constitutional referendum.
During the meeting, participants discussed the key provisions of the draft of the new Constitution and its potential impact on the country’s development. Special attention was given to the environmental provisions proposed to be included in the Basic Law, as well as issues related to environmental protection, the responsible use of natural resources, and the development of a strong environmental culture.
Representatives of the Baytaq Party noted that in recent weeks the party has carried out extensive outreach activities across the country. More than 500 meetings with citizens, expert discussions, and public awareness events were organized in different regions of Kazakhstan to explain the importance of the proposed constitutional changes.
At the end of the meeting, participants emphasized the significance of the upcoming referendum and called on citizens to demonstrate civic responsibility by actively taking part in the vote.
