Azamatkhan Amirtai published an appeal on his Facebook page, where he shared his thoughts on the upcoming elections and the chances of the Baytak party passing.

The chairman of the Baitaq party called the dissolution of the Majilis an important reform on the way to the creation of a «New Kazakhstan».

“So, what the country has been talking about since last autumn has become a reality. Yesterday, by the decision of the head of state Tokayev, the activities of the Mazhilis of the Parliament and all maslikhats were suspended. That is, disbanded. Early elections to the Mazhilis and Maslikhat are scheduled for March 19. This is one of the branches of political reform on the way to the creation of New Kazakhstan. It is better to go to New Kazakhstan with new deputies, with the intervention of new parties in politics. The right move.”
He told how these elections will differ from the previous ones.

“The upcoming elections will be different from the previous ones. In connection with the current situation, the upcoming elections will be held according to a mixed party-majority system. Also, the People’s Assembly of Kazakhstan does not nominate deputies to the assembly. Seven parties have registered to participate in the election campaign in the country: Amanat, Ak Zhol, the People’s Party of Kazakhstan, the National Social Democratic Party, Aul, Baitaq and Respublica.
Also, the chairman of the party considers it very important to raise environmental issues from the rostrum of the Parliament.

“Taking this opportunity, we in the Baytaq party are going to try our luck in this fierce competition and try to get into parliament. Indeed, the problem of ecology in our country is lagging behind. The situation does not stand up to scrutiny. Therefore, we intend to raise important environmental issues from the rostrum of the Parliament.”
