President Tokayev: Kazakhstan Must Become a Digital Power

Today, Head of State Kassym-Jomart Kemelevich Tokayev, in his Address to the Nation, emphasized that one of the key priorities for the country’s development is digitalization. According to the President, in the shortest possible time, Kazakhstan must elevate its information technology sector to a new level and become not only a regional but also an international digital power.

The Head of State noted that over the next three years, the public administration system, the economy, and social sectors must fully transition to a digital basis. Artificial intelligence, big data processing, cybersecurity, and innovative solutions should become an integral part of everyday life.

In addition, the President instructed to begin planning the construction of a second, and if necessary, a third nuclear power plant to ensure the country’s long-term energy security.
